dcpromo demote Win2k3 server Failed to configure the service NETLOGON as requested


Heres the full text of the error received:

the operation failed because:

Failed to configure the service NETLOGON as requested.
"The wait operation timed out"

and in the dcpromo.log is the following:

07/07 09:04:24 [INFO] StopService on NETLOGON failed with 258

 To fix:

Change the first DNS setting on your network card to point to your new DNS server, not the server you are currently demoting.  Once you change the DNS setting to the new DNS server you will be able to demote the server without this issue.

Gadis Penjual Tempe Melenggang ke AS dan Singapura

Amalia Suri. Inilah gadis belia asal Aceh yang terpilih mewakili Indonesia dalam kegiatan Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) di Singapura. Gadis 18 tahun ini bergabung dengan tujuh siswi lain dari Indonesia. Mereka mengikuti kegiatan yang digelar oleh Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP), sejak 30 November hingga 6 Desember 2014.

Prestasi gadis yang karib disapa Amel ini memang mencorong. Putri pasangan Sofian Suri Muhammad dan Fauziah pernah mengikuti program pertukaran pelajar di Amerika Serikat tahun 2013-2014. Sehingga dia mendapat julukan `anak Amerika` dari kawan-kawan di sekolahan. Kini, teman-teman sekolah memanggilnya dengan julukan ‘anak Singapura’ karena mengikuti program SYT.

Amel dan keluarganya tingal di Desa Paya Dua, Kecamatan Banda Baro, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Untuk nerangkat ke sekolah, setiap hari Amel harus naik angkutan umum. Anak ke dua dari lima bersaudara ini harus beranjak dari rumah sebelum jam tujuh agar tak terlambat ke sekolah.

Bagi Amel, tak mudah meraih prestasi yang mengkilap itu. Apalagi perekonomian keluarganya sempat terguncang karena sang ayah, Sofian Suri, dirumahkan oleh perusahaan.

Kala itu Amel masih duduk di bangku SMP. Sampai sekarang pun sang ayah tak punya pekerjaan tetap. Hanya jabatan Kepala Dusun dan pengurus musala yang melekat pada Sofian. Sementara sang ibu adalah guru di SDN 9 Dewantara, Gampong Calok Giri.

"Ayah pernah jualan jilbab di pekan Minggu, pernah juga jualan mainan di hari raya. Amel sama abang dan adik juga sering ikut," ujar gadis yang gemar bercerita dan menulis ini.

Sang ayah bahkan juga pernah membuat tempe untuk menopang perekonomian keluarga. Dengan bangga Amel mengaku pernah membantu menjual makanan dari kedelai itu. Tempe-tempe yang tidak habis terjual digoreng dan dijual keliling kompleks.

Amel lah yang menjajakan tempe goreng ini. Panas dan hujan dia terjang untuk menjajakan tempe goreng, demi membantu perekonomian keluarga.

Setelah benar-benar di-PHK oleh perusahaan dan mendapat pesangon, keluarganya sempat mencoba berjualan pakaian. Usaha ini cukup lama dijalani, namun belakangan usaha tersebut berakhir karena kekurangan pelanggan. Tapi Amel tak menganggap semua kesulitan tersebut menjadi kendala. Gadis yang jago bahasa Ingris ini malah giat belajar untuk menggapai cita-citanya.

Sejak kecil, Amel yang bercita-cita sebagai diplomat itu sangat ingin ke luar negeri. Mimpi itu berawal dari sebuah kamus Jerman yang ia temukan di rumah temannya, saat masih kelas V SD.

"Waktu itu Amel nggak tahu Jerman itu di mana, dan bisa dua kali ke luar negeri gratis kayak sekarang masih nggak percaya," kata dia.

Jika akhirnya ia bisa menjejakkan kaki ke negeri Paman Sam dan negeri Singa, semua itu karena jiwanya yang selalu menyukai tantangan. Suka mempelajari kebudayaan bangsa dan negara lain dan karena ketertarikannya pada bahasa. "Selain itu, kalau berhasil ke Amerika setahun, ayah nggak perlu keluarin uang untuk biaya sekolah dan jajan Amel di tahun itu," ujar Amel.

Di sekolah, Amel juga aktif di berbagai kegiatan seperti teater, debat, dan komunitas menulis. Bahkan tak jarang di hari libur dia tetap ke sekolah untuk belajar kelompok atau latihan teater. "Pokoknya Amel betah aja di sekolah," kata gadis periang ini.

Ke mana pun ia pergi, selalu ingat pesan sang ayah agar selalu belajar yang rajin. Dia juga diingatkan agar selalu berperilaku baik yang mencerminkan karakter orang Aceh yang sebenarnya.

"Ayah juga selalu bilang pergi terus jauh-jauh selama itu beasiswa, kalau ada universitas di bulan ke bulan pun Amel boleh pergi," tutur Amel.

Last post introduced ESP-05 (a mini ESP8266 board) with simple testing. This post show a very simple web server on Arduino Mega 2560 + ESP-05.

Basically, its same as the example of "Arduino + ESP8266 - Web Server (III) with firmware 00200.9.5(b1)", except the baud rate.

Config HC 05 s as paired Master and Slave


This post show how to set a HC-05 as Master, and bind to another Slave HC-05. By default, HC-05 is set as Slave (ROLE=0), UART=9600,0,0 and PSWD="1,2,3,4", what we have to do on Slave is to copy the ADDR used to bind in Master. In Master side, what we have to do is set as Master (ROLE=1), make sure same UART and PSWD,  BIND to Slaves ADDR, and set CMODE=0, such that the Master will connect the assigned Slave only. Once set, the Master/Slave pair will auto-connect when power-up in range.



In my setup, a FTDI USB-to-Serial adapter is used to check/set the HC-05(s), Arduino Softwares Serial Monitor is used to enter AT command to HC-05, all FTDI adapter, both HC-05 are set working on 3.3V.



Check the config of Slave HC-05:

Connection:
FTDI Tx - Slave HC-05 Rx
FTDI Rx - Slave HC-05 Tx
FTDI GND - Slave HC-05 GND

Conenct USB to FTDI, and open  Arduino Serial Monitor, set baud rate to 38400, "Both NL & CR".

Press the on-board button of Slave HC-05 and apply power to Slave HC-05.


Make sure ROLE=0, UART=9600,0,0, PSWD="1234" by entering AT Commands:
AT+ROLE?
AT+UART?
AT+PSWD?

Copy the ADDR:
AT+ADDR?

In my case, ADDR is 2014:12:20016

Power-off and disconnect the Slave HC-05.


Set the config of Master HC-05:

Connection:
FTDI Tx - Master HC-05 Rx
FTDI Rx - Master HC-05 Tx
FTDI GND - Master HC-05 GND

Press the on-board button of  Master HC-05 and apply power to Master HC-05.



Make suew UART and PSWD match with Slave side:
AT+UART?
AT+PSWD?

Change ROLE to Master
AT+ROLE=1

Bind to the ADDR of Slave. In my case Slaves ADDR is 2014:12:20016, replace : by ,, enter:
AT+BIND=2014,12,20016

And set CMODE=0:
AT+CMODE=0

Power-off the Master HC-05.


Auto connect:

Keep FTDI connect to Master HC-05. Connect TXD and RXD of Slave HC-05 together, to echo the received data back to sender.

Power-up both Master and Slave HC-05, dont press the on-board button.

Change baud rate of Arduino Serial Monitor to 9600 (match with the UART in HC-05), keep using "Both NL & CR".


Notice the blinking pattern of the on-board LED of HC-05(s), they will auto-connect once power-up.

Enter anything in Arduino Serial Monitor, it will be send to Master HC-05, and send to paired Slave HC-05 and echo back via Bluetooth,

To burn bootloader to Arduino MEGA 2560 using Arduino Uno as ISP, connect Uno & MEGA as shown:


PC is connected to Uno.

- Program Uno as ArduinoISP
> Select board of Uno
> Select programmer of AVRISP mkII
> File > Examples > ArduinoISP > ArduinoISP
> Upload

- Now we are going to program MEGA, the Uno act as Arduino as ISP.
> Select board of MEGA
> Select programmer of Arduino as ISP
> Tools > Burn Bootloader
